The North Haven Gift Shop, now in its 64th year, is a multi-generational family business located on North Haven’s Main Street. It has evolved from its origins as a general store, in the early 1900s, to its present incarnation as a showcase for local artists and artisans including Eric Hopkins and Orlando Johnson, classic Maine items from soap and balsam pillows to Maine maple syrup and candy; and books, North Haven t-shirts, jewelry, and other gifts.
Helmed for over sixty years by June Hopkins, the Gift Shop recently came under the ownership and management of her son David and granddaughter Eva, the great-great-granddaughter of the original owner. Under their guidance, the North Haven Gift Shop is continuing June’s tradition of a gorgeous collection of summer essentials and artful objects.
The adjacent North Haven Gallery will feature work by artists with North Haven connections, including potter Frances Palmer, painter and glass artist Eric Hopkins and landscape artist Andy Gelinas.
